Thistle Handkerchief Vase stands approximately 19cm tall and around 25cm wide. Each piece is handmade and therefore unique. The Vase is made using clear glass fired with enamels. Each piece takes up to 3 x firings. The vase is tricky to achieve. The skill is finding the sweet spot temperature wise to hold the molten glass and not stretch the surface which would result in a deformed pattern and a tightly folded vase. All my work is produced in my studio Ingaskeldt in beautiful Orkney. -

Small size Wren in trees Candle-Bridge. Approximately 13 x 19 cm. The design is fired onto a flat piece of glass and slumped over a mould in the final firing. This piece accommodates one candle in the recess. A slip will be include expaining how this is made. -
