This is a large panel approximately 40 x 30 cm which is supplied with its own oak stand. Centralise the glass within the slot in the base.

This piece is signed 2019 as it was installed in my sitting room util 2020 when I changed the internal windows to mid century modern designs.

I made this using clear glass and kiln fired it three times to achieve the depth of colour and detail.

I can see Copinsay island from my studio.

The moon in the design has been left clear. Depending on where you situate the panel – the moon could pick up the background colour.

Copinsay is one of the Orkney Islands in Scotland, lying off the east coast of the Orkney Mainland. The smaller companion island to Copinsay, Horse of Copinsay lies to the northeast. The Horse is uninhabited, and is managed as a bird reserve. Copinsay is also home to a lighthouse.
