This is a new piece and measures 11 x 29 cm approximately.

This is a favourite place for a picnic. To arrive at this beauty spot you drive past the rear of Maes Howe and down a short road you arrive at marsh land which overlooks Harray Loch with The Ring of Brodgar on the horizon. During the summer months there are many beautiful marsh plants including wild irises. If you visit out of season you are often rewarded with the whole vista to yourself.

I made this piece using clear glass and have fired it three times in the kiln. Each firing adding depth of colour and texture to the glass. I fired the glass with enamels and silver stain, all traditional materials in staining glass.

I make all my work in my studio Ingaskeldt in beautiful orkney.
