This piece measures 40 x 10 cm approximately. The inspiration for this is from my good friend Jo’s images of her home and surroundings in Perthshire. I’ve used many of her snowy images and they have proved to be very popular.

I have made variations of her images many times. This one is created using clear glass with applied enamels. Working with pure enamels as opposed to Frits is very different. You can achieve a glossier finish and bleed the colours. The colour also builds so well over several firings. Although I can make this piece again it would be impossible to match the same flowing colours of the sky. This is the reason for this particular piece being labeled a one off.

I make all my work in my studio Ingaskeldt in beautiful Orkney. Visitors always welcome.
