This small curve measures approximately 17 x 15 cm and is made from clear glass with applied enamels.

The design features an island, Swona on the horizon. You can see this island clearly from South Ronaldsay. I visited this island 5 years ago and previously about 45 years ago. My family were good friends with the roses the last family left on the island. Their house and others lay crumbling on the hillside. There is also a herd of feral cattle left by the last owners. This is a magical and etherial place.

My love for the island endures and I can’t wait to visit again.

All my work is made in my studio Ingaskeldt in beautiful Orkney.
