I looked out my kitchen window and saw my neighbours washing flapping wildly in the good old Orkney wind. I felt inspired to make a small set of washing line glass curves. When I first moved here I bought clothes pegs in Doulls shop in Saint Margaret’s Hope and they were the ‘extra strong’ variety. They have been very useful.
This piece of glass measures 30 x 11 cm and is made with clear glass and applied enamels. It has three firings.
All my work is made in my studio Ingaskeldt in Beautiful Orkney.
