This piece measures approximately 72 x 30 cm. including its wooden frame.
I made this ‘Schiele’ inspired design using clear glass and kiln fired the image in three stages, with enamels and lustres.
I’ve now made and sold several versions of this piece. I absolutely love making them and am so pleased folk like them.
This is a large piece and would add a touch of glamour and opulence to any home, office or hotel.
The woman has iridescent squares of lustre in her drape and wrapped skirt. She has a gold bangle on her upper arm that has gold lustre fired onto the surface. These days a prohibitively expensive material to work with.
I framed this in a black stained broad wooden moulding. I feel it looks appropriately gothic for its subject and the time.
