I Love Nasturtiums!
This curve measures approximately 26 x 17 cms. (including the stand) The panel features yellow/orangey nasturtium flowers and green foliage. The glass clips into a custom made wooden stand.
I made this using clear glass and kiln fired the design with enamels. This took three firings to acheive the depth of colour and detail, the final firing slumps the flat glass over a ceramic mould. Slow temperature up to 710 deg. and an even slower drop to room temperature ensures and evenly fired curve.
Bright and cheerful, Summer all year round.
Completely made by hand in beautiful Orkney.
One of the images shows a road sign in Commercial Street, Shetland. I was up there for 3 weeks while my daughter directed ‘Shetland’ the TV series. I take glass in my van wherever I go!
