Description
This is a new interpretation of my Thistles designs.
This piece measures approximately 17 x 15 cm and is made using clear glass.
I cut the shape from sheet clear glass, clean and sand the edges. I added the amber art nouveau design to the first firing. The subsequent two firings add the colours of the thistles while the last firing has the black enamel detail drawn onto the glass. The molten flat glass is slumped over a ceramic mould which will result in the curve of the piece and allow the glass to be freestanding.
