Description
This seascape measures approximately 15 x 23 cm. (including the base)
This design features vibrant sea, sky and sands.
I made this using clear glass, cut to size, cleaned and sanded the edges. I apply the first layer of the design and kiln fire the flat glass at 840 degrees.
The subsequent firings build the colour depth and detail. The final firing includes slumping the molten glass over a ceramic mould to achieve the curved glass.
All my work is made in my studio, Ingaskeldt, in beautiful Orkney.
