I’ve just added this dish with The Standing Stones design.
Somehow I’ve omitted to use this size of mould ( approximately 13 x13 cm) to make a Standing Stones Dish.
The plate has a gentle curve which sits flat on a surface. No rocky bottom!
The design features the most popular colour combo of the standing curve glass pieces.
A dark heather base with blue and white sky, the stones are depicted in black enamel.
I took this photograph on top of Olads Summit in South Ronaldsay. That’s quite a distance from The Ring of stones at Brodgar, Stenness, but its still Orkney and I had the dish in my car. It was a lovely golden winter light, too good an opportunity to miss for photographing.
